Don't know if I am supposed to do this? This vette is for sale from an owner about 30 mins away. I currently have a 74 with so to many problems to list. My Q is can any of you see anything wrong from the photos? Seems like the price is too good too be true.
Is there anyone in my area that could go look at it with me?

That 'looks' like a very good deal. Two things to keep in mind are the frame and birdcage. If they are solid, and the rest of the car is good, then that's a fair price.
Like Db Said birdcage, frame .But the good thing I did notice that car still seems to have all the parts to it the smog pump is still there the valve covers look aftermarket but other than that it looks good Being in Calif I cant see Very Much rust happening . the price drops right in line with a car that has all the original parts.(and is not a rust bucket)Will this be your first vette?
Make sure you take it for A ride long enough to get all the fluids up to Temp.Dont play the radio (make sure if it works ) but listen to the car Rear end and steering. If you have A guy that works on cars that you trust, take him with you he might not be able to go on the ride because the owner will more than likley not let the two of you take it out. It might be better if both of you dont have time for a shake down run to send the motor /front end man.he might hear something you might miss. good luck I use to Live In Redondo beach.
I currently have a 74. It was my first buy and I knew nothing about corvettes. Needless to say I got a really bad deal (found out the frame wasn't straight, and the PO had messed with the fenders to make it look straight).
Thought I might try to retrieve some of the thousands of $'s in parts from my current 74 into another.
Guess I just don't know what to do at this point, I'm starting to think I should get rid of my current 74 and start all over again.
Man take the one your looking at to a front end place let them look at the tires and check out the frame with the car on the rack you can tell alot about the car If you have the current 74 and mix it with the new one you will have one heck of a car and some parts to sell afterwards on the forum of course. I would stick and go all in.
Don't know if you were the one that ended up buying it but I think $7500 was reasonable. The rear bumper cover and wheels were not stock. There was sone overspray on the bottom of the hood and the cover for the distributor was missing. No pics of the frame and no mention of the birdcage.
Otherwise, looked pretty good on the surface.
Oh and the valve covers were stock for LT-1, though I don't know if this was the case for L82 in 74.
