I had a local shop (very talented) do a custom 2 1/2" system for me. I used Dynomax mufflers. Looks factory and sounds great. If you have a local and talented shop you might want to consider a custom bend.
Most of the repro suppliers sell them, but I agree on looking for a local shop that makes exhaust systems. I believe the original systems for many big blocks was 2" pipe. Have a custom shop make you a 2 1/2" or even a 2 3/4" system...let that bad boy breathe!

INCORRECT..........BB cars have 2.5" pipes from the factory at least on 68's they did !!!
If you look at different catalogs, 4-spd cars are listed as having 2" pipes and automatics as having 2 1/2" pipes. Why...I have no idea. But many did come with 2" pipes.

DONT BELIEVE CATALOGS MOST OF THEM HAVE NO CLUE.
My 68 is a bb 4spd with 2.5" pipes
Every catalog & seller on e-bay also classifies parts as 68-82
wrong, wrong, & wrong again, many 68 parts are 68 ONLY !!!
