Got tired of trying to keep the black vette clean and switched to light quasar blue. Just got it back from buffing out the orange peel due to my 1st try at clear coat. Note that when I stripped the paint off of the trim I found some nice stainless. Kinda adds a little bling to the 79's. What ya thing?

Do you have a paint code or Mfg. and year for the car it originally came on? I have a customer who is asking about a metallic light blue that may be like this.
Thanks,

Hey Skip. According to the Corvette Black Book, Quasar Blue Metalic, code 80, came on 1991-93 vettes with a total of about 2700 made. The CBB does not reference "Light" blue, but since I owned a white 93, I seem to recall that the Quasar Blue was very light, like the photos above. Jim

I sold vettes back then and it was called Medium Quasar Blue Metallic, it was actually my favorite color back then, next to Ruby Red which I owned.
Here is a pic this color is considerably darker than the one on the C3. I think the C3 looks great.
