Default Question on 1970 Option???

What was included in the "Custom Interior with Leather Trim" option? Did this option include the wood trim inserts in the door panels as well as leather seats?

Yes ,

The custom interior did include the wood trim on the cebter console

but it also included cut pile carpet instead of the 80/20 carpet.

It also included a piece of carpet with chrome trim on the bottom of the door panels

Binnie77,

This option first appeared on the 1970 Corvette model. Referred to as custom interior, it was an upgraded package consisting of cut nylon pile carpeting in lieu of the standard 80/20 loop style. Leather/vinyl seat upholstery instead of comfort weave vinyl covers, lower portions of the door panels were covered with cut pile carpeting separated by a metal trim piece. Upper portions of the door panels were adorned with walnut veneer applique applied to a metal backing with stainless trim around the edge and attached to the door panel with tangs that were bent over from the backside. A similar walnut veneer applique was applied over the center console facing.

So in a nutshell, the package was an upgraded carpet, seat covers, fancy door panels and upgraded console trim appearance.
