Turn Signal Lever?

I was just wondering if anyone knew how to install a turn signal lever for a 79 and could give me some tips on how to go about doing it? Thanks

The 1979 C3 turn signal lever just "plugs" into the plastic dimmer pivot. The pivot has a spring loaded ball that holds the lever in place. Just push it straight in.

How do you take the old one out? Does it just unscrew? Thanks

Old one just pulls out. It's not easy, but it will come out. I learned this from here on the forum after disassembling my column to remove the lever only to find out I didn't have to.

If you install it by pushing it straight into the dimmer pivot, you can remove it by pulling straight out.

The original lever that broke had cruise control on it, but i just decided to replace it with the one without cruise because it cost a lot less and i didnt really care to have cruise control.
