Im starting to do research for a four post lift. Wondering who has what and any ideas. Looking for storage mostly. Would be nice to have all four cars inside. Thanks

I'm just started looking last since I'm a new owner of a '72 Coupe to go along with my '01.

www.asedeals.com seems to have the best price on Danmar and Bendpak.

I'm also looking at Double Park.

Will update this post as I decide. There was alot of activity on the C5 forum about lifts. I need mostly storage but do want to service both vettes. I also really like the castor set so you can move the lift.

Just my two cents worth, but we have two types in our shop.
The four post and the two posters.
My preference is the two post because you can work on the car easier when its up in the air.
Jobs like taking the wheels off for brake jobs, new shocks; muffler replacements, hoses, oil changes, etc.
With the four posters, if you have to remove the wheels for the job, you have to do all that stuff on the ground with the car on jack stands.
And I don't think the two post lifts are much more expensive if at all.
Like I said, its just my opinion.
Skip in Houston.

Look around for a used one? We picked one up a AMMCO 4post 12000# 18' long with two center air jacks $1000. We washed it up and painted it and took about a day to set up with the assitance of a fork truck to lift the top cylinder. JUST DON"T BRING UP TO BOLT IT TO THE FLOOR, then you will open up LOTS of discussion (ours is bolted).
We have a guy near by that sells used shop equiptment but we found our in the local paper.
GOOD Luck and you will find that you will have wished that you bought it a long time ago. wro87
