Default Leaky intake manifold bolts

Been trying to figure out why one spot on my intake manifold keeps getting dirty in the same place and tonight after a drive I noticed that the two bolts on the passenger sided right in the middle of the manifold beside the carb are wet. The valley in the intake at that spot gets wet.

Do I have to pull the intake and replace the gaskets to fix this or can I pull each bolt and seal them up with some permatex? I'd like to do it right and never again. Do these bolts extend into a water passage?

Any chance I'm getting an intake leak there now with a rotted gasket. I've been fighting a stalling problem at idle after two guys have gone through the carb and all hose connections are verified not leaking.

It is probably seeping up through the bolt threads. I had this problem with my '71 when I first got it 12 years ago. I use Permatex Blue (link) on all of my intake manifold bolts and have never had a leak using this stuff.

Clean the bolts and threads and put sealer on th bolts, one at a time will work so you don't have to remove the intake. That should solve your problem. I use Permatex #2.
