Default casting numbers

I have a 73 coupe the drivers side rear says 3970010 the front passenger side says V0926cla and the vin number the rear date I believe says I232 which is Sep 23 1972 the blue build sticker in the door says october 1972 can someone please tell me this makes sence I have number 4,381 vette of the assembly line I just wanted to make sure that these dates could be in a 1973 because someone told me the rear date should have a 3 at the end and I told them no that number does not represent the year of the car it's the engine build date.

Please anyone give me your input

Thanks Jason

your numbers line up just fine. You can confirm your build date on the trim tag - it will show C09 or C10.
