I've searched all the posts I could, so here goes. Car is an 81. I've got the 4 black screws out of the bezel. I've removed the side carpet pieces so I could get the silver screws that screw up into the bezel. I've got the hex bolts of the radio ***** and I have loosened the screws on the shift console to give me some wighgle room. I just can't seem to pull it out. If I start at the top, I can work the top out no problem, doesnt seem to be hung up. Same for the bottom. I can even work the whole bezel out 1" maybe 2 Almost seems like the middle portion of the bezel is getting hung up on something. ANybody?

OK. Bezel is out. There is a harness that plugs into the bezel for the guages that doent seem to move. Does it come off/on or doi I need to cut it off?
Thanks guitarcrazy.Your car is coming along nicely.
OK. I got it off and the stereo is hooked up and working but.... After starting car to test, I noticed the door buzzer doen't turn off after I shut the door. I used a wiring harness for the new stereo and I'm plugging into the factory harness so I SHOULDN'T have any wires crossed. Could it be because I don't have the harness hooked up to the bezel gauges? Anybody got an idea?
I guess it's a seat belt buzzer cause it turned off after I put on my seat belt. It used to just turn off after I closed my door. I don't particularly want a seat belt buzzer...
