Stainless Trim Rings

Any tips on the best way to clean up a set of 1974 Ralley wheel stainless trim rings. Rings are in very good shape as far as no dings ( some scratches ) but need a good cleaning . Thnx Dave

I'd first try some Neverdull. If it doesn't cut too good then go to 400 grit sand paper. It that don't do it then try 220 grit then up to 400 and then Neverdull.

acid for removed an oxidized surface cleans them great

I start with the least aggressive polishing compound and work my way up.

phosphoric, nitric, citric, or oxalic acid, there are many wheel cleaning products with these acids in them. white lightning wheel cleaner sold at walmart is the one I use

Wad up some aluminum foil and wet it w/ water. Add elbow grease. You might be pleasantly surprised on how well it works on ss and chrome. Please let me know if you try it. Good luck.
