Anybody ever hear of Corvette Conspiracy out of Cleveland, Ohio?
I was at a cruise in last night and saw another black 80-82, so I had to go over and look at it. He had the hood popped and inside was the most gorgeous motor ever. It was an all aluminum 572 c.i. with the same kind of ignition that LS motors have (individual coil packs?), a Hogan intake , custom built fuel rails, one-off cold air intake, full VBP suspension with QA1 coilover, offset trailing arms, and 315's out back. The builder claimed over 600 horse on low compression and pump gas.
It was REALLY top notch work. The car needed to be buffed out, though. It was very orange peely. The underside actually looked better than the top.
I saw the black 81/82 at a trade show here in NJ. The engine was amazing - they fired it up and it sounded incredible. I remember taking pics with my friend's camera. I'll post them once I locate them.
