Default Another year older

My car is now another year older, as am I (20 as of the 28th) and the car is 34 as of the 31st, Ive had her for 2 years now and I have:

replaced the front bumper
painted the front clip
installed a shift kit
installed an indy spoiler
installed hearders and side pipes
replaced the door pannels
countless little things have been replaced
and HOURS AND HOURS of washing/waking/armor-alling/and staring

hopefully this summer I will replace annd the suspension bushings, get transmition leak (SMALL) fixed (number one), tune the carb (id like to do it myself, not too confident though), and maby time the darn thing

In summers to come I need to replace the rear bumper back to stock (SPLIT-TAIL PRIDE), get the whole thing painted, replace the seat leather, find a stock/origional radio, and a few engine things (ex: new springs, rockers, rods, CAM etc) and MORE washing and waxing

Ive also only got $213 more untill the car is 100% MINE!!!

(could you tell me if the link goes to a really short video, dial-up is preventing me from seeing if it works and also posting the long one)

Miles

Great pix - keep up the good work! Keep in mind you will never be finished - and that's a good thing!

Video came up - didn't see how fast you went. I'm assuming it was within the speed limit, of course!

You should plan a short trip up here to Columbia one of these upcoming weekends.

Definitely digging your sidepipes. Nice to see another younger guy into Vettes and not ricers. Sorry to everyone else, but it's rare to see another Vette go by where the driver doesn't have a receeding hairline. Keep at it, man.

For your timing and carb tuning issues, use this link. It will no doubt help you out.

Here is also a suspension link by Lars as well. These should at least get you motivated

Watch it there young man, I'm 50 and my forehead hasn't gotten any closer to my neck than it was when I was 20.

Miles, you've come a long way and your vette looks great. My 68 is having a birthday soon too.

I took the vette out for a little cruise with the camera, I stopped a couple times, and on the third picture stop (by a pond out in the boonies/VERY high dollar home neighborhood) when a man came up the side of the hill with his dog and started askin me about the car (love those moments) what year? what engine? could it beat.....? ect ect, when he askes me if I would like to sell it, I told him that Im pretty attached to it and I dont think I would like to sell it now, he told me if I ever wanted to, to come back to him

Ill post some of the pics I took when they upload, could take a whyle

Nice work so far.

IMO, I would get a timing light and time that sucker right away. It really can make a world of difference. After that, I think you are on the right track with the suspension bushings. That's another part that makes a ton of difference on how a car feels and performs. Very high up on the bang for the buck list.

You've already made a lot of progress. Nice lookin Vette!

Now what you should have done, and what i do, is say yeah its for sale for $20,000.
That way youll probably never sell it, and if you do sell, you will for much more than its worth, and be able to buy a nice chrome bumper car
