Default C3 Myths

I have experienced some pain by going with some advise. 99% of the advise is accurate. That leaves the 1% that spanks me.. Anyone have any that could save some future trouble.

Heres one I learned the hard way...

A Torker II intake will fit under a stock big block hood.

It didnt on mine!!!!!

Any others..

Installing a heat shield on your original Delco starter will eliminate heat-soak.

been there done that - I'm now on my 3rd starter in two years trying to find one that will last like my original - stay away from:

Delco Remy (a.k.a. - Worldwide)

Now trying an ACDelco - verdict is still out on this one since I have had a long road trip yet.

I'm neither. There goes that theory.

BTW, the brake booster was easy and a heat shield did solve my starter heat soak problem. You guys are just doing it wrong.
