Default Stupid Question

I have what is undoubtedly a stupid question relative to this forum.

What dictates whether or not someone is a senior or junior member, etc?? Is it based on amount of post on this forum or maybe some determination of someone's Vette experience?? It can't be based upon length of time because I've seen other guys who signed up well after I did and they are senior members. Not really an important issue. I've just always wondered what that meant.

Thanks for all the previous help and comments on my posts.

It has nothing to do with age, or experience, or knowledge...just post count. No one here really cares or pays attention to the post count. We just get to know one another and we're all equally Corvette owners.

If it was based on age...Durango Boy would be 105 years old. HA!

In some cases, the more stars you have, the more useless the info is,so beware of all those little stars that some have.

basically your ability to sit and type, knowledge has NOTHING to do with becoming a senior member.....there is one thing all noobies should know....as relayed to me on more than one occasion by the CF mods "it is not against the rules to post bad advise or mis-information"....further more WITH the permission of a senior mod I post the following "check the source and your facts before using any information posted here".

I was teasing Durango Boy about his post count, but I must thank him very much as he's very knowledgeable and has helped me with valuable information regarding electric fans and high amp CS alternator conversions. Thanks for all your good posts Durango Boy.

Could this be the reason that on this and other forums there are some who have nothing to say in response to a thread but make a post anyway saying they don't know or can't help with the topic? Duh!

One of the reasons that is done is to keep the thread at the top so that it may be noticed by someone who does have the answer.

Whenever you post a question, you will get a variety of answers. I can assure you that every time, by the time things are debated (which makes this forum great), you will end up with the correct solution. Unfortunitly, a few members who believe that years of memberhip time on the forum equals knowledge have to pipe in with useless information.

You guys are now known as the Butt Nutts.....

Stay tuned....I will start exposing the Butt Nutts soon.........gp
