Here are the steps I'm taking to get my A/C up and running. I've pieced it all together with the help from you guys on here. Here are the steps I'm taking.
1. Removing the system from the car
2. Flushing the condenser and evaporator
3. Purchased new compressor, hoses, expansion tube, and accumulator
4. After system is all reinstalled, attach vaccum pump, I'm following the procedure followed here: http://www.autoacforum.com/messagevi...&threadid=7931
5. Add oil and recharge the system according to the forum post listed above. (I do still have quesiton as to how much refrigerant to use.)
Yeah that looks enough to get a working A/C. Not sure about adding oil to other components than the compressor, as I only added the full recommended amount to the compressor and left everything else dry, assuming that the compressor will circulate the oil when it starts working. Its been more than a year since I did that, and my A/C still blowing cold with no problems (in a 100F day).
