I am the proud owner of a just obtained (yesterday, during an episode right out of the "Day After Tomorrow" movie) 1973 L82 4 spd Coupe. It has some issues, but that's what I was looking for. A very solid driver, that with a little (probably a lot, really) could be a show worthy car. I plan to come here often for help now and then. I am also a FFL, and avid gun nut. So I frequent Gun guy forums as well. As I know that these forums are "THE" best place to learn the answer to a question, or concern. I won't inundate with questions at this time.
Just wanted to say hello, and convey my happiness of both, being a Vette owner, and being a member of this forum. As you can tell by the pics, hte interior isn't original, along with trannie and engine. All else is however. Engine has last 6 mtching numbers to VIN. Was built up a bit though.

Welcome! Love the Forrest greens for any GM performance car, Nice. The Engine last 6 matching numbers to VIN means it has the engine the car was shipped with, that's what matches on a matching numbers engine. C.
Thanks for the warm welcome folks. I apprecaite the replies, and still find myself opening the door to the garage, and looking at my new vice. I am on disability from work and have a small Gun shop that kind of keeps me busy. But I have always wanted a Vette, and so what the hell. I chose a '73 because of it's unique history of being the only year of the plastic/chrome mix.
I have things to replace, and things to add. I look forward to doing these things. But I am aware it's not going to be all fun and games. However, I don't see myself returning to the "Working world" as we know it....so I've got to find something to do. The Gun shop helps. But it is my belief that this car, and it's needs, will be just what I need. Besides, I'm sure I don't need to tell all of you how it makes you feel to drive a Vette. Thanks again for the welcome. BTW...Topless62, I'm in Grand Haven. On the West Coast. I see you're on Michigan's east Coast. Thanks!
