hello
When i parked the vette in october everything was working fine and such but now the headlights do not work. Everything else works like the side marker lamps, front running/parking lamps rear lights, fiber optics but not the headlamps. I have checked for fuses but none are burned out. the lights go up and down just fine, just no light.
If you have a test light check the 14 light blue wire at the dimmer switch. That is the power coming from the headlight switch. That should tell you which way the problem is.With the headlight switch pulled out.
would the dimmer switch stop the headlights from coming on all together? i have never really messed with much electrical work on the vettes
Yes it can.The power starts at the headlight switch and then goes to the dimmer and from the dimmer goes to either the low beams or high beams. If you check for power in and out at the dimmer that will tell you if the problem is inside or under the hood.tiasd

sounds to me that it's either the dimmer switch or it's the headlight switch itself. Does the headlight switch pull out two clicks? First click should turn on all the lights except the headlamps... second click should turn on the headlamps... I am bettinng your old headlight switch has worn out and broken from the inside.
well, it turns out the headlights were burned out.
sometimes i feel like an idiot haha
strange though, how could they just burn out from sitting in the garage?
