Camera mount question
How high should the camera be mounted. I have a Sharkbar in my car and I figure on about shoulder height would be OK??? Anyone have any pictures of their mount?

Gordon, I bought the camera mount from Dan Haggerty & Speed Direct, (SharkBar). Pricey, but effective.

I just got back from a 10 day Southwest National Park vacation. During my nearly 1000 mile drive yesterday I was thinking about how to mount my Sony camera for some in car videos.
This is just plan "A" Revision 1. It is set to eye level and nearly straight ahead. I went out and did about 6 short video clips. They turned out nice, but the size of the downloads is massive. 30 seconds is about .5 Gig. So I'm going to have to figure out lower resolution editing......
I did a 2-3-4 shifting at near 7500 rpm in every gear and the speedo was swinging through 130 mph. I was thinking how do you explain that one to a Cop is a 45 mph zone that you were just making a movie for your friends on the Corvette forum.

I like the cheap route myself. Mine has to come up as I don't have a roll bar but the bar is a little lower than shoulder height. I'll have to fab up something that raises it up some. Some type of hard plastic should work fine and be able to be clamped onto the bar. All these pictures give me some ideas.

The white is plastic. Because I didn't want to screw up the paint on my roll bar. The hose clamp has withstood lots of hours without moving
