Default finally got my C3

I finally got my C3...

I have always liked the late models C3 and found one after looking at many Vettes for about 8 months.

As far as I can tell She was built at the old plant in December 1980 and was the 899th Vette in the month of Dec.

The original engine has been upgraded too...
383 TPI Stroker. With fresh suspensions and engine build 8K miles ago. Also very well optioned with most of them.
PS/PB/PW/CC/Power mirrors / Power Seat/ Alum rims / 255/60R15 tires/ rear window defroster/ power locks / mirror glass t-tops

Eagle stroker kit / Comp Cam 268H / Painless Performance FI system
VBandP suspension pieces, , Griffin Radiator, fresh brakes , New Seats , new Door panels, etc...etc...

I am so happy!!!, I spent the entire weekend working on her... I did all the fluid changes and detailed the interior and the engine bay... I still have more to do...

I know.....here are a couple of pictures... I have lots of pictures, but here are a few...

MY C3 383 TPI Stroker

Engine Build

With one of her stable mates..

Tight fit in this 2.5 car garage....All 3 togther..

A lotus huh? Why not get a Z06 for that cash?

Everything looks really great. But I'll be honest and I feel this way for every car. I think white is a horrible colour. Nothing personal, love everything, but I hate white cars.

Nice! Looks like one clean car car.

That Lotus is awesome.

How did you get all those cars in there? WOW

Thanks Tall Boy... it is not easy parking, but well worth it..

I sold my C5 last year and REALLY missed my Vette and the people, I always wanted a C3 and decided on that over any other Vette...

More pictures to come!!!

Nice C3, good luck with her. My 81 was originally white also, but she wasn't in very good shape. Have fun and enjoy the ride.

Very nice work on the Vette. Interesting how you pulled the rad forward away from the core to get a duct and air filter through to the front.

Hi Durango Boy, Just to be clear , I didn't build this engine, it was done by http://www.baldturbofreak.com/

Build pics here
http://www.baldturbofreak.com/html/g.../81_vette.html

Anyway. I LOVE this Vette, it is just a blast to drive, and look at, it has one of the sexiest bodies ever created.. I could just look at her all day...

Still have more work to do, like finish polishing my rims... I see a Mother's powerball in my future... maybe as a fathers day gift...

I hope to get her to a couple of car shows this year and I also will be doing some dyno runs.

I have some upgrades that need to be done too, the Exhaust system needs to be LOUDER!!!

thanks everyone for the positive comments!!

Nice vette, I wouldn't try to park any of them cars in there after a couple cold ones. How the hell do you get in the car, obviously the middle one must come out first?

Lol @ wildchris.... that could be a problem for me, since I do like to have a cold one while wrenching on cars...

Hey if you are ever around Rochester NY, let me know and we can talk cars and have a beer!

Maybe I need to hang some boat bumpers off the sides of the cars..

to use them I have to peel them off from the end... lol, first the Vette comes out then the next car... etc...

Tim.. I'm always up for meeting Vette and car people!!!

I'm in Henrietta NY... Let me know when and where Happy hour is!!

Have never been to the Log Cabin, but I hear they have a great cruise night... I have to attend one!!!

Oh...Side Pipes... Yeah I want those too.. Just need to save some money for them!!!

Theiskell - Nothing can get me down , never cared what haters have to say, after all I got my C3 and love it, and I wanted a White / Black or Yellow, C3, so I'm elated about my White over Cinnabar C3... What more could I ask for... Oh yeah.. side pipes but those will have to wait...
