More than a dollar, less than a million.

A link or item number would have been a good thing!

But ifyou mean this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=230260641394

If you ask me, car has already gone way past what it is worth. It's a mess. IMHO

No way this is a $10K car. The body and paint are very rough (nose has been tapped, more like pile driven into something) and as he states, no brakes. I also doubt the mileage, these did not come stock with firestones and the original tires should have lasted longer. Also, does not look like a 29K mile interior to me either.

Also, the truck on your avatar matches a truck in the background of one of the pictures, perhaps this is your vette?????

This car is a mess..............

Ahhh.... good eyes... Didn't see that. Yes, that is him and the ID's match.

Either way, doesn't matter. But being he asked, the car really is in need of everything. If the person who currently bid 10k is for real and not a shill bid, he is going to have one hell of a surprise when he first sees the car. And then he will want his money back. Hate to say it, but that's the way it looks.

Not out to bash anyone's car, but I noticed a few things from the pictures.

* Door panels that are shown are not original. Where are the map pockets that should be in the front carpeted area.

* Bubble Taillights?

*Back end has been repainted at some point. The bumperettes are not black, they are metallic grey

*Has correct 1st generation design air intake over radiator

*Where is the A.I.R. pump system that came from the factory on the L82

*Rocker panels on a 78 should be stainless strip at the top and black bottom panel, these are reversed.

*Gill cutouts in fenders do not have the pinstripe around the outline

*Atleast one of the emissions temperature vacuum switches is missing from the thermostat housing. Probably a casualty of the removal of the A.I.R. system. Can't see the Evap lines to the canister on passenger side in the photo, but combine that with the missing lines on the air filter and I bet you have to go through all the vacuum lines.

All vettes can be saved, but I would agree that this one will need a lot of TLC if the buyer is going to be picky. But Hey, when was the last time you met someone who was picky about their vette?

think I still have to do a lot of reading in my Corvette Black Book & Guide for the Corvette Buyer, before I will be able to see all of those things....:o

wished I knew more of them, would be helpfull in my search for a goodlooking & clean C3

but....never too old to learn, so I just keep on gathering all kind of info on C3's

Nice catch. He posted the same troll on the C3 for sale side. This is the new game people are playing to try to get around the "no link to your ebay auction" rule... either ask some aimless question about an "auction or pretend it's not your car at all...

Trust me, you don't learn this stuff reading the reference books. You learn by being around the cars, talking to owners and owning them. Most owners of a particular generation can tell you every tiny detail that you can't find in a guide.
