Default Need Advice 77 Restoration

I need some help in deciding what to do. I am doing a complete body off resto. Body is already off, just completing the rest of the tear down. Today I removed the drive shaft and axle shafts. Everything looks real good. Fluid from the diff had no metal in it, and was clear red.

When I got the car, it was running like, well you know. It had sat in a friends driveway for approx 5 - 6 years, so I really did not get a chance to drive it except to my house about 1 mile. I don't know if there is a problem with the diff or not. Everything I see shows that there is not a problem. Don't know if I want to rebuild the whole thing or not. Thoughts ??????

If you have the extra cash, have it and the trailing arms rebuilt. That'll buy you another three decades of solid use and you'll be worry free. If money for the project is tight then hold off until something actually goes wrong or until you can afford it.

Thanks for the advise. I think, at least, I will replace all the seals. After all, it has been sitting for years.

I do have a budget, but I don't want to make a mistake that could cost even more when I get it back running.
