My friend wants to borrow my vette so they can drive it from the church to the reception on their wedding day. What type of decorations has anyone used on their Vette besides the shoe polish, tape shaving cream Ect.Ect...I would like to keep my car from being treated like and average car so I volunteered my wife to do the decorating.Any Ideas would really come in handy.
shaving cream will eat away at the finish, shoe pollish cant be too good either, tape is no biggie,
at one of my friends weddings, we drew all kinds of stuff on the windows with a bar of soap, depending on the color of the car (assuming red) you could draw on the entire car, wont do a thing to the paint!
Hate to be a stick in the mud, but I wouldn't let them touch the paint with anything if your paint is nice. They can do what they want to the windows and the interior, but the body would be OFF LIMITS.

Man you had me till you said "Entire Car". but I might try the windows, though!
You're a good friend to loan your car out for the wedding... it will be something they'll remember for years. Of course, you leave yourself open for this kind of behaviour (my daughter and her new husband leaving the church in my car a couple of years ago)...
As somebody else mentioned, you probably want to avoid rice... you'll be trying to get that stuff out of nooks and crannies for years!!!
If it's a close friend I wouldn't worry about such trivial things as rice. Are you going to tell them they can't have it at their wedding just because you might have to clean it? lol. I'd be honored and let them have fun with it, as long as there is no actual damage done.

Take a look at the window tag paints. They are commonly used by kids and auto dealers to mark windows and it cleans off easily; just ask them not to get it on the seals as it is a little harder to remove. These are available everywhere or just ask a teen.
IMO, just driving a C3 is enough as it is.. Shaving cream whether urban legend or not, I've heard eats paint. Shoe polish, fine on windows, but again, unless it is paint or water, I don't believe anything should be put on a painted surface, that is not PAINT or WATER!
That said, masking tape would be fine with streamers, etc.. We did that back in 90' for my buddies wedding when they used my IROC.
Again, the C3 itself with a simple, JUST MARRIED sign on the back window would suffice IMO.

Def use masking tape NOT scotch tape, use to work for a Limo company and scotch tape was a biatch to get off while masking tape comes right off without leaving any type of glue residue

Exactly.. After all when you paint your Vette you use masking tape, not scotch for that very reason. Now if I could just convince my wife to stop using scotch tape to tape notes on hardwood doors!
I drove mine after my wedding last year.
My friends had beer can's tied behind it and a just married sign in the rear window.
Beer can's are classic and easy to remove at the end of the night.
lol its just soap, think of it like you were washing the vette, got side tracked, and the soap dried, so all you have to do is wash it off
you dont even need to use soap when you wash it off, its allready there!

Got to be careful with what type of soap you use. Some of it can strip your wax off. Not a big deal but would be a shocker when you washed it and it looked permanent.
The vette is too small to do much to. Keep it simple write on the windows and maybe tape a sign to the rear or attach to the antenna and a cpl of stringers from the back. Less is more.
