I saw this on craigslist for sale. Take a look at the roof. Don't think i have ever seen anything like it. http://boston.craigslist.org/nwb/car/721119682.html

Very unique. I wonder if it would leak if it were actually in the rain...or how wind noise sounds at high speeds with the tops on.

Very interesting mod. I would like to see some more close up pictures of the roof.

I like it

That is a cool mod for ta "T" top. I would think that because the car was origionaly a "T" top that it would not have any additional issues with wind or water as a stock top. If the seals are good I would say not a problem and that back portion most likley (just a guess) attaches like a verts hard top.

Any way, I think its a nice mod and the car would be worth looking at.

I'd still love to do this mod to my 82, but I'm chicken. I'm afraid of screwing it up.

I was thinking the same thing.

I assume there are no close up pics for a reason.

What does a vert have in place of the "T"? I think the frames are all the same.

There are 2 sets of steel braces behind the dash.

A vert has a reinforced bird cage that this car probably doesn't have.

I remember reading that the later verts DIDN'T have the reinforced bird cage ... that it was exactly the same. A few people here have done conversions, I'm considering it myself on the 80.
