Default C3 General ?

I think my board is mest up it seams the C3 general section has a pantload of tech/perf questions. Is any one else having this problem or are people just posting in the wrong section?

It's just posting in the wrong section. No big deal. Read the ones you want, skip over the others, or report them as wrong section. The mods will move them as they find them or as people report them.

I don't think your board is messed up, even if it seems that way.

People constantly post in the wrong sections.

the real concern whether your cross-ma-fibulator is really set to the ASTM specs of international weight consumptions. most fibulators lose blinker fluid in 4 days if the titanium nylon screw is only 1/32"decimals in the crank shaft of the opposing inner strut cable bar line. drill holes every 5"inches on the 3" piece and you should be fine

Thanks for the chuckles, Guys. One should have a good sense of humor when they start discovering where Bubba's been and then post their questions or discoveries in the most convenient section.

Matt's post takes the pressure off and puts the whole thing in perspective. Whew... (though I will try to keep things in correct order).

People like myself ask dumb technical questions in the general section because people are nice and answer. In the technical section some people will flame you. PS- especially new Vette owners be sure to change the blinker fluid each week.

There will occasionally be someone that will try to mock you or belittle you for asking a 'rookie' or 'noob' question, but you can't let that deter you. For every one of them there are fifty guys ready and willing to jump in and help as best they can.

If someone is mean, just ignore their post and wait for the next one. All questions are welcome, and the only stupid questions are the ones never asked.

For the most part the same people patrol the Tech and Gen sections, so you'll get a good answer either way and luckily most of the people that flame for posting in the wrong section either stay to themselves or have moved on to different forums.

I think the probability of getting flamed in either section are about even! Consider it hazing! Remember, there are no dumb questions, only dumb people.

Some flaming I see is due to repetitive questions or issues. ie-gas prices, mileage, tire sizes, hot floors, heater bypass valves, etc etc.
Yes these are all brand new unkown issues to new Vette owners and we all have them, but they've been asked over and over and answered over and over. The answers are already out there. Make sure to do a search before you post up, that should help to reduce some flaming.

Very true. Most all of the members here are good natured. The problem with the internet is sarcasm and joking sometimes gets blown out of perspective or taken wrong and a huge flame ensues.

*NOTE*
I have this same issues, when I click C3 general, it always drops me to the tech section, like the link is wrong.

I have to select C3 general from the pull down menu, it does this on my home PC and work PC and my buddy's PC.

It's been this way for a long time. Simply put a shortcut to your UserCP on the browsers you use. Then every time you log in it takes you to your subscribed threads. From there you have access to all the C3 sub forums on the left, both Tech and Gen, and both go directly to the proper section. One click, you're in, two clicks, you're in your favorite section.

When I first got my '76, I spent all my time in Technical. No one ever said anything to me directly, but I sort of got the feeling from some of the threads I was reading that my questions weren't technical enough and I'd agree probably weren't for the most part. To be honest, until then I never thought about it. I switched to General and no one has ever told me my questions were too technical.
