Default Pypes Exhaust Question

I've heard that when installing this system they don't include the pipe needed to connect the header collector to the first pipe that attatches to the X-Pipe. I'm going to order a straight lenth of pipe to fit into this space. Does anyone know the approximate lenght, example 12" for each side?

I used the Hedmann extensions from Summit to connect up my headers, I could have given you exact dimensions yesterday but I took it down off the stands last night. I had to cut them and reweld to get them around the TH350.

There was no picture available for the link provided but most other pipes had a slight bend in them. I believe what I'm looking for is just a straight pipe which would be approximately 16" long. Is that correct?

will depend on the tranny you are running. Mine had to bend outwards and then back in to mate to the headers in order to get around the TH350. 16" should be close, I dont think it was anymore than that with the curved extensions that came with the Pypes set up.

I think they will need to be cut to fit. It will depend on the length of your headers, and where the collector is.

Thanks for all the info, what I need to do first is remove the headers and weld in the O2 Bung. Based on my free time lately, that may take awhile.

Have you ever priced out muffler shops in Canada, what would cost $50.00 in the US would cost $150.00 here. To boot they would use the excuse that my car doesn't pass emission re the exhaust so they won't touch it.

With the price of gas here at around $6.00 per gallon guess how much that would cost me, plus if I had 4 hours of free time to drive to th US and back I would just weld them in myself.

Thanks for the suggestion Ironcross
