Default What is This?

Can anyone tell me what this small white line is for? It looks like some vacuum line. I noticed that it's broken near the black coupler. Not sure what it's for. I see that an end of the coupler is gone also. Should I replace this whole line? It's a '78 L48.

Thanks.

Its for your heater control valve(shuts off water flow to your heater core/box)

First see if you can slide the black hose back over the white vacume line.(just like it is on the connected side)

For an easy fix remove the black hose and replace with new piece of vacume hose.
