Default New wheels and tires - thoughts?

My winter rearend replacement project just got finished last week(rebuilt differential, new gears, smart struts, rear spring, offset T/As, hardened side yokes, new u-joints, balanced drive/half shafts, QA1 shocks, poly bushings, removed spare tire and carrier and new wheels and tires - thanks VB&P, Duntov Motorsports, Summit Racing, The Last Detail, Andy Maner and my wife for the great parts, labor and support).

Other than lowering the front end 1/2" to 1", whaddya think?

I like it. It makes the car look like it means business. The 15" wheels with the tall sidewalls, that's just a classic look. Well done.

How about a SIZE for your BFGs and rims on the offset T/As?

I'm in the process of going W-I-D-E-R, but I have flares in the rear.

Thanx.

Looks great, the only thing I would have done different is put the white leters out. All though again I think it looks great. Nice job!

I am running 10" wheels with 5" backspace. The BFGs are 275-60s. They look a little "square shouldered" but it was the best combo that I could come up with. I tried the following combos on my car:

1. 8.5" rim with 3 3/8" BS. The 275s looked better, but stuck out a little past the fender for my taste. I also tried 325-50 drag radials - Looked way cool, but stuck out too far as well.

2. There are a couple of threads floating aorund here with pictures of 8.5" rims with 295-50s. They look good, but stick out past the fenders and are a little lower profile than I like. The 295-50s are very difficult to get now.

3. I also tried 8.5" rims with a 5" BS - for some reason they rubbed the calipers (even though they are supposed to be the same BS as my 10s) so I couldn't even mount them.

4. What I would really like to have is a 9" rim with a 4.5" back space. I could mount a 325-50 and keep it all under the fender - Are you listening Centerline?! This is what I really want to end up with, so I am going to keep figuring out a way to get it done.

You may already know this, but what I was able to do and what you might be able to do to your car could be very different based on a lot of different factors (PM me if you want to hear more). Good luck!

Thanks for the compliment. I am still debating on the white letters myself. I was "peer pressured" into the blackwalls and I am not sold yet.

Being a fan of the white letters I initially thought the same thing but the black tires on black make the wheels, side emblem and & rocker really pop.
