Wow, those seats look great. I gotta get a set of those and there happens to be a place out here in Bama called the "Fiero Factory". The guy has a salvage yard full of old Fiero's and a shop/repair facility. I've been buy it a thousand times. I bet I can get some seats from them.
I like the Mr Mikes leather seats in all red, with the logo's and speaker holes.
What exactly are the "seat belt slots"? I don't see them clearly in any of the pics on the website.

They are for a harness. They let the belts slide under the edges of the headrest. To use them you would need to modify the seat frame. I didn’t do that to mine, it just looked to involved for something I don’t think I would need or use.
It must be nice to have a fiero junkyard so close.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when you are getting the seats.
1) 84-85 has the speakers in the headrest, the rest don’t. You can add them as I did, but just and FYI
2) Be sure you get the hinge covers and recline handles. They are not cheap to buy; you can pay more for these parts than you pay for the seat.
3) Be sure the back of the seat is in good shape. The bolster can be in bad shape, but the center needs to be good. You do not get replacement foam for this area.
You will get good comment everywhere you go and you will be a lot more confortable than those old vette seats. I did go with the corvette track and it have raised me like 2 " but for me it was just what i needed because my wife and i are both only 5'5".
I got them for almost 4 years and don't regret the swap.

That's where I got mine. They charged me extra to get the original rails, which I never ended up using.
In response to another comment, my seats DO sit an inch or so higher, as I used the corvette rails.
Did a quick search and found they have a website. It says they offer installation of Mr. Mike's seats. I'm going to have to go down there and talk with them next week. I'll try to remember to post the details of our conversation.

The response has been great to these seats not only here on the forum, but also at shows and just getting gas. To me this was one of the best mods I have done. I plunked down a ton of cash for polished aluminum parts under the hood and before the seat install that was all people would look at. Now I get more questions on the seats than anything.

I really love the look of those seats.
I have gotten a few PM’s on how hard the covers were to put on. When I began looking at these seats that was one of my concerns. Don’t let it scare you it was really pretty straight forward and simple. After doing mine I could probably cover a second set in about an hour. Mrmike will send a video with your covers on how to do them, but when you take the old covers off you will learn a bunch also. One good thing about DIY you can add padding where you want it and make them look better than new. I don’t think many people doing it for money would take the time to do it like that.

I see your point, but I've never done anything even remotely close to re-skinning seats. I wouldn't even know where to buy foam, if I needed it. I would be more comfortable modifying the seats rails to fit, than I would be trying to install $750 worth of leather. I'm not saying i won't do it myself, but I will check into installation.
Thanks for your tips regarding what to look for when you purchase your fiero seats. That will be very helpful.

I didn’t mean to sound like you shouldn’t take it to someone. I just wanted to let you know it was pretty easy to DIY. Mrmike’s kit comes with extra padding to fill in where you want.
P.S I had never done anything like this before either

Me either, and I bumbled my way through it. The DVD is excellent. Second seat took less than half the time of the first one, once I knew what I was doing. Seats are REALLY comfortable.
So, I talked to the guy at the Fiero Factory and he is very familiar with the fact that people like to take Fiero seats and mod them to fit their custom application. He was very helpful and really a nice guy. Here's the low down.
a. Seats with the speakers (84-85) are $75/each. Most of his seats DO NOT have the incline handles and the mechanism covers are all broke.
b. Seat price DOES NOT include the rails. They are an additional $25/each.
c. Incline handles and mechanism covers can be purchased at Fierostore.com for about $17-$20/each.
So, using this guy you'd put out about $250 just to get started. Theiskell, the $50 you paid for your seats was an outstanding price. My plan is to keep hunting for a descent set of seats to start with at a little better price. I can always fall back on the Fiero Factory if I need to, but for now maybe a little patience will pay off.

Yep I think I did get lucky. I see them on Craig’s List all the time here in my part of the country. 250 does sound a little steep for a starter set of seats. I could see 150 if you had everything with them. I hope you find a set they get more attention at shows than anything on my car.
Well I just picked a set of Fiero seats for $20!! I'll store these till I can get the $$ for Mr Mikes goods If i decide to go this route.
Just wondering BEFORE I do decide to rip my seats out, what are the advantages of this swap as opposed to re-upholstering my factory Vette seats?
thx in advance.
Wow you got a deal on those seats…As for the advantages I would say WAAAAAAY more comfy. From some of the prices I have seen on covers for the corvette seats, the Fiero covers are in the same ballpark. As for installing the covers (I have done both) the Fiero seats are much easer to recover.
And then you have the factor…every show I go to people are asking me how to do the seat swap.
If you use the Fiero tracks you will be close to the height of your original seats (if they have good foam) if you adapt the original tracks to the Fiero seats you will set about 1-2” higher. Let me know if I can help more
Ya I just checked an online classified site for my area and the guy was parting out a Fiero GT and nothing over $20 was his tag line, so i called and asked if he had seats... he said yep and i asked how much for BOTH, he said $20.
Thx for the info Theiskell and this post... I would have never known to do this swap

Try the Pull-A-Part in Birmingham...I have used the ones in Atlanta, and the last seats I bought were about $20 each, with the tracks.
