Default headlights

Is there anyway that i can manually lower my headlights on my 1981
corvette.They say not to but is there a way

Yes there is and it won't hurt anything. Get on the ground under the nose of the Vette, so you can reach up from under the nose through the three large openings. You will see the headlight assemblies. There are jointed 'legs' holding the headlights up with springs on them. They are basically hyper extended backwards to hold the lights steady. Simply reach up, and where the 'knee' of that 'leg' is, pull forward. The headlight will start to fall. Remove your hand so it doesn't get caught in the assembly. It should fall on it's own, but once you get the 'knee' pulled towards you you can help it down with slight pressure from the top.

Is there a reason why they won't go down on their own? Maybe a problem with your vacuum system or a bad relay?
