Block Casting Number
Can this block be right for a 1969 427. The date code is D21 8. Its a 512 Block.

D is April. April is 'late' in a given production year. Why do you doubt it?

Because the trim tag is L07. Im not too sure about the trim tag numbers. What is L code? The VIN says its a July built car.

I think Frank has it right, it's a 9 not an 8. My eyes went right past that focusing on the D21 cast date.
