I have a 80 Vette and I have lost my dash lights. I have replaced the headlight switch and checked all the fuses. I have also replaced the board in the back of the odometer. Where next?????
How is the board in the back of the gauge cluster? Where did you get your replacement headlight switch...is it top quality? I bought a cheap switch that was defective.

Kinda a dumb question but have you rotated the headlamp **** to ensure the dash dimmer isnt turned all the way down?
The headlight switch came from Autozone, and I did rotate the ****. No luck.....The board was purchased from Ecklers....
That's where I got mine from...it was a raging POS. The copper spades that connect to the wires through the connector were touching on the inside becasue they had been bent poorly before they were inserted in the slots. I never would have known If my headlights had not stopped working with the new switch...I opened it up and was pretty miffed. I ended up using some of the parts to fix the original switch. Not saying this is your problem, but if I was troubleshooting I would think that part had been solved when it wasn't.
Did you check or upgrade the flexible board behind the tach/speedo, or the guages (or both)?
I will look at the switch tonight when I get home. I did purchase the flexible board for the tach speedo, but not for the gauges yet.. Thanks for the ideals!
I don't know about the Corvettes, but in the old days, Chevy had the dash lights and the rear lights on the same fuse. That way if the tail lights were'nt working you knew it because the dash lights went out.

Did you try turning on the light switch and checking for power at the inst. lamp fuse? After the power leaves the switch it goes to the inst. fuse first before going to any dash lights.
