Default C3 Value from Corvette Magazine

Does anybody have a scan of the latest C3 values? In CT, we pay tax on cars once a year and I just got my tax bill. They assessed my '72 SB coupe at $26K! I am thinking of going down to Town Hall tomorrow w/ the keys and offer the tax assessor the car for $21K and tell him he can make an easy $5K by reselling it. On the flip side, our 2007 Honda Odessey Touring assessed at only $23K (with a sticker price of $38K last August)! Oh well, at least our real estate taxes are low.

Different country, different systems I guess. We in Ontario pay a flat-rate of $74.00/yr whatever the car, whatever the value.

Hi, I'm in Sherman, CT and the reason I decided to go with Antique plates is that the maximum assesed value they can tax your car for is $500.00. I just got my pers.prop tax bill and its for $8.20 for the year, of course our mill rate is only 16.40, I'm sure its much higher in Greenwhich

Mill rate is 8.03% in Greenwich. Maybe I should get antique plates...

Default Tax

Move to Jersey, no annual tax only the yearly registration costs (about $65.00) which includes free state inspection, however, you have to deal with the crooked politicians.

Well, my yearly property tax is only $4,700, so it is hard to complain too much. Just feel like I am giving the town an extra $100 that could be used to fill my car w/ half a tank of gas.

I'm over $15k/yr in Wisconsin! We don't have the personal property tax on vehicles, but since Doyle has been in office we've seen our tag fees go through the roof. I pay about $400 for all my vehicles combined. It's ridiculous.

I'll never understand the theory behind taxing for property that you own. I understand a sales tax and tax on your home. Glad I live here.

The only resource more incredibly inacurate than Corvette Magazine is NADA.

......damn, I pay $2,000.00 per year and I feel it's way too much.

...I have "historical tags" on 3 out of 4 of my cars. They are $25 for a total of 25 years.

Stop complaining, Registration and compulsory third party is about $575 per vehicle down here then you have to insure the car on top. I have both my cars 68 Vette, and 68 Bonneville fully insured (limited use) and it costs me $825 on top of the 2 x $575 before I put gas in them at $1.75 litre.($6.65 US gallon) Europe is even worse.

We do have a "club permit scheme" which costs under $100 a year but we are only allowed to use the cars on events listed in the club newsletter and then we still have to insure.
