Experience with mufflers ??
My 72 small block has new turbos on it...soumds as quiet as the wife's Sebring Convertible. 
The fresh 74 big block has NEW repro HUGE ROUND FAT stock mufflers. They actually sound ok ...sorta tinny sounding but not too loud. Does anyone have any suggestions....they are boring the way they sound now.......Flowmaster 40 ??? Duramax ???? any good turbos??
Will a long glasspack like an old Smithey fit under these cars?

Dynomax Super Turbos from Walker have a nice healthy deep growl to them without that metallic ring that the Flowmasters have.
Besides, Flowmasters are the defacto Ford Mustang standard muffler....do you really want that?

Flowmaster 40's are the opposite of your turbos. Loudest series (2 chamber) Flowmaster makes other than a race series. It will be way to loud for your tastes. I just removed a set. Fairly loud from idle to wide open and they do resonate.
I'd suggest Magnaflows. They sound very nice. Deep and throaty.
Pipe diameter will also make a difference in the tone.
I'd go no smaller than 2.25 inch pipe.

I went thru Dynomax, Flowmaster and after a $1000 or more worth of muffllers I put the Magnaflows back on that I should have used in the first place
