LOL loudmasters, this is the exact reason i pulled mine and went with the sidepipes. flowmasters are just way too loud both 40 and 50 series.
if i didnt go with the sidepipes i would have swapped out to magnaflows
which in my opinion have a much sweeter sound.

When I frist put on my super 40's, I wasn't very happy, but after a day or two I grew to love them.

I guess that's why there's hundreds of different designs and manufacturers out there.

Started with chambered duals and way too loud for my middle-aged ears. Now x-pipe and Dynomax Super Turbos.

I got the Dynomax Ultraflows. They sound great. The 40's rattled the windows in my house.

Had 40's ....got tired of hearing my wife say "huh ? what'd you say?"

Now I got the turbos, and comunication, and I keep thinking back to the good ole days when I had my solitude.

adding an h-pipe along some 3" resonator tips helped mellow my 40's down. With the top down and doing 80 mph @ 2500 rpm's I can barely hear them.

The problem with sound bites is the sound (tone, loudness, and pitch) is different to everyone depending on what your computer speakers are set at. And the same muffler will sound different on different cars depending on size of pipe, size of tails, number of bends, cam, cubic inch, etc....
