Default Is this leather ? pic included

Can you let me know if this is indeed leather interior from the pic. I believe it is but wanted to make sure before cleaning and treating with mink oil.

Thanks

I don't think mink oil will have any bad effects on vinyl, so I wouldn't worry

I was just looking that up and it seems that mink oil is used for vinyl also. So should be OK

I was looking at 74 specs and seems dk red only came in vinyl

Thanks everyone

I had some cracks in a dashboard and had it replaced several years ago at a company that specialized in interior restoration and repairs. They advised me to use mink oil on the vinyl covered dash and not to use "liquid protectant" like products because they tended to dry the vinyl out and cause cracking. They said the "protectants" were fine for the hard plastic interior parts and probably ok for the other vinyl in the car, but a no-no on the dash where the sun beat directly on it, and a big no-no on real leather.

I have used mink oil exclusively on the dashboards of my cars ever since and mink oil and/or lexol on the leather seats. I can't vouch that what they told me was a proven scientific fact, but I can state for a fact that mink oil has never harmed any of the dashboards in any of my cars, and I have not had any more dashboard cracks, on any car I have owned, since I started using it.

Maybe some of the new dashboard materials are better now too, and maybe the formulations of the liquid protectants have improved too so its all academic. Mink oil is probably as good as anything else on the other vinyl parts of your interior too, but I still use Armor-All everywhere except for the dash and leather parts of the interior.

I was under the impression that the dash was the same regardless of leather or vinyl (ie. standard or deluxe interior) and the only difference was the seat material. I believe all dash and door panels are vinyl covered. Anyone know for sure??

Just got info on NCRS site. All C3's have vinyl dash/ door panels and consoles regardless of standard or deluxe interior.

Corvette dash parts are vinyl regardless of the trim level. Deluxe interiors had leather seats only.
