Default magnaflow

I am putting on Dynamax headers and new mufflers on my '69. Which are better, magnaflows or dynamax? Are there different series of magnaflows? I want a nice rumble, but not so loud I can't talk above. I still have the stock mufflers on, but they are just too quiet. Thanks for the help.

I have never tried Dynomax mufflers but I can give a huge thumbs up for Magna Flow mufflers.

Default I've heard good things about both...

I have heard positive comments for both.

I recently put on a set of Magnas..... and at first I was a little disappointed that they were not louder. (I had removed an old, rusted set that turned out to be Flowmasters).

After a few cruises... I realized that I could hear my upgraded CD player very clearly, could have a conversation, and when I put my foot down on the pedal the sound was definitely aggressive and loud.

So, I would say they are subdued when you want/need them to be... and loud when you want them to be. No drone and no farting noises, no pissing off the neighbors (unless you want to) .

they make a loud muffler with a nice rumble, sounds just liker factory side pipes but out the rear. They have the EXACT factory look & fit.......purfect for your 69 !!!

Ron, if you already made up your mind cool. but if you didn't I have tuned headers & true dual 2.5 exhaust w/dynamax turbo mufflers. I think it sounds great not too loud but you can hear me coming and going. A few members told me the same it sounds great coming down the road.

Thanks, but I already have the headers and hope to install them tomorrow, then take the car to the mufflers shop maybe Tuesday if I can make up my mind on mufflers.

MAGNAFLOW
I have one of the original proto type sets. for the c 3 and I am very happy with what I have. at low speed thay are load enough that most people can here you coming, But at high speed I can listen to the radio and talk to the passenger. And the hp went up about 15 hp As far as my vote there is no better....

I have the Dynomax Super Turbos on an otherwise stock BBC exhaust system and they have a nice low growl to them. Sometimes I complain to my other Corvette friends that I don't think they are loud enough but they tell me they can hear me coming from a couple of blocks away.

I hear them best when I take out the back window. Then I really get the full effect.

Sounds fantastic.
