Default Removing etch spots in glass

I'm doing a show on Wednesday and I noticed I cant get these acid water spots off the glass(door windows). The glass is the original and you can see these spots which look like regular water spots but etched into the glass somehow.

Anyone ever seen this? I tried Windex, polish and WD but no help.

I had spots from a sprinkler with minerals in the water and Windex and others did nothing. I used liquid car polish on a damp towel and rubbed it until the towel was almost dry. They came out and the windows clean. A friend went further with light polishing compound, the white stuff for his problem.

Hope it helps.

there is some polish designed for windows to take out fine scratches. Find that at part store and give it a try.

If they are water spots from high mineral content vinagear will take them out. If not I was able to borrow a glass polish kit from local windshield guy (know him) and that worked great to get some deep wiper scratches out(cost a 12pac ).
Good Luck wro87

Toothpaste, just rub it in. Works great on minor glass scratches also.

My friend just did the steel whool treatment to his '68 Firebird glass and oh my gosh - it went from looking like total junk (yellowed and opaque) to brand new. I was sold.

OK, for the record the steel wool didnt do jack!

I tried 0000 and 1 and it didnt even phase the glass or the spots. Sorry, guess it must work for other issues.

I'll try some of the other ideas.

That Spot X might be worth a try. Look at he bottom of this page for some reviews. Some say it will scratch the glass.

You did try it with water as a lubricant, right? Can also use toothpaste as a lubricant!
