You are probably correct, otherwise I am sure it would have been a modification I would have seen before. I think I will stick with the plan to go to a 73' bumper and keep the mods to a minimum. I also love this front end ... the lines are so clean looking.
Well, Terry it looks great! Nice car and one of my favorite pics of a rubber bumper vette. The angle really highlights the lines that make C3's so beautiful!
Thanx Man !................it was taken on the Tail of the Dragon in the Smokey Mountains by a company that sets up in the curves, then you go on line and order the ones you like.

Did you know they were taking it or do they just shoot everyone? I've driven through there a bunch of times & never knew about that.

I knew they were there......There were 3 or 4 different companies in different curves with their web address posted beside them, they liked the Blue Vette ( many high resolution pictures ).
Better yet......BUY MINE ! That red 72 is SWEET. 55,000 miles / cold AC / tilt-tele / original paint with a couple of genuine door dings. NO...absolutely NO RUST. Base 350 - turbo 400. Perfect interior. New in California....stayed in Arizona....drove it to my house 4 years ago. It appears to be a real 55,000 car with tons of good luck. The ac vents need replaced, they arent shiney as they should be. Stay away from that white 454 ragtop ... that the Devils car! That devil will put you in a ditch before you even know its started. Bad car.
Now thats funny. Way to take the opportunity! I wish i could buy yours seeing i want a red chrome bumper C3
Have to ask a question for clarification. The blue '73/'74 pictured on the winding road looks like an '80-'82 hood to me. Someone said it was a '73 hood. Was it modified? I thought the external appearance of the '73 was the same '73-'79 with the exception of a vent at the rear of the hood that was deleted in '76 or'77.
Don't want to confuse someone and have them looking for wrong year hood.
Clarification...............I bought the car like that, I just assumed it was a '73 hood. The PO didn't say anything about having a different hood....I guess I need to brush up on Vette Hoods...Sorry!
