Default Installing door locks

I have the door panels off but not sure how to get to the door lock so I can change it out.
I thought there was someting in corvettefaq.com that talked about changing out the locks but I can't find it. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

If you mean the key locks...it's tough to do with big hands. First, remove the three screws that hold the latch assembly to the bulkhead. It will lower a bit and stay held in place by the linkages.

This will give you more room to reach in and remove the linkage from the key lock, and finally the clip that holds it in the door.

It's hard to reach and having a person will small hands to help is a big plus.

Do you have the new locks in hand? If so look inside the open door cavity and reach for the lock cylinder. You should be able to feel a lock sring clip that fits flush with the door skin. It will have a lip on it. Take a flathead screwdriver and push the lip of the clip away from the cylinder. You might have to hit the screwdriver with a small hammer. After the clip comes off the lock will pull out of it's hole. Hope this helps you.

Job complete. I can finally lock and unlock the doors with no issues.

Thanks DB/VUA.
