Default damplifier pro

This stuff seems to be sound deadening + heat insulation, correct?
so I could buy 80sqft of this and do under the carpet from and back of the 'vette and not have to put reflectix?

It is pretty dense and the AL surface seems pretty thick. I bet the pro is really heavy stuff. It seems to bond well to the bare fiberglass. It is supposed to act as a heat barrier seems like it would. I plan on doubling it up around the tunnel area and under my feet. I seems like a good product and some guys on the Lateral G forum recomended it.

For what it's worth here is one take on underlayment.

Damplifier is a wonderful product well worth the money. The owner Anthony is also a great guy. However, it's just a sound deadening material...just like Dynamat. Is refers to it as a Thermal Acoustic product...which is throwing you off. This type of sound deadener, like Dynamat, turn vibrations into heat energy. The heat is dissipated from under the mat...hence the foil backing. This product will not act as a heat barrier...you'll need jute or Reflectix or a similar product for a heat barrier to go over the Damplifier or Dynamat.
