I have been watching the Northeast section a lot and noticed a car gathering was going on about 5 miles from home. Some of the C5 and C6 guys were talking about it so I asked if an old C3 would be welcome. Sure come on out. Well it was pretty much a ricer crowd and 8 or so C5/C6 Vettes. I pull in with my old school carbed C3 and most of the ricer crowd could not beleive it. I was by far the oldest car there so naturally it got a lot of attention. As much as Ithought this was going to be a short night it turned out pretty good. Most everyone was very respectful and everyone seemed to mingle pretty good. Just a bunch of car guys getting together and BSing each other about how fast we can all go. Some bada** rice rockets there also. The detail these guys go into is pretty incredible. As long as it stays calm the cops said OK. They cruised through a few times and it was all good. I ended up staying until 11, wayyy past my usual bedtime on a Tuesday. Spent most of the night with the Vette guys, one C5 is running 9.3s at 150+. Turboed 402 LS motor. Good fun and I'll probably visit again. I was definitly the orphan child at this event but it did not matter. Most guys really apprecuiated the old iron coming out. Lots of from the crowd.
