81 door handles
the driver's side exterior door handle seems a bit stiff, it has to be pushed on the way down in order for the latch to release. The passenger side is seems fine. I was just wondering if there was some type of an adjustment I can make inside. Thought I would ask before starting to take the panel off. thanks

the door lever connects to a rod, with an threaded adjustable pin that connects to the latching mechanism. you can unclip the pin and screw it down the rod further so that the door handle will not need to be pushed in\down as far. The hard part is getting the lock clip back on the pin... you need real tiny hands, or fab something up using some long plyers. The rod is also held in place by several small clips... if these come off (as mine did) the door lever may not work at all because the rod will move around a little bit and not be pushed down in the correct direction, thus not getting enough "throw" to move the lever to unlatch the door.
