who knows, not oem, probably something previous owner installed. i have one in same place, i installed to turn off power antenna. you will have to just trace the wires out. some ideas, electric fuel pump,
ignition power switch, fog / driving lights in front grill etc. good luck

Defogger? It's a fan that blows air across the window rather than wires on the window that heat it up. Is there a vent behind driver's head?

Electric rear window defroster. You shoul have wires embedded in the rear window.

72's have a removable rear window. The defroster is a blower on the left side of the window, blowing through vents on the window. The control is a silver **** on the small kick panel just in front of the console.

Defroster, defogger...........220, 221, whatever it takes!

Seriously, he's right, not wires on the window, we're talking about a vent on either side of the interior coupe pillars that blows air onto the rear window..........

On my 74 Coupe there is a switch right behind the drivers seat on the side panel that starts an electric motor, so that maight be a blower for the rear window then. It's not mentioned in the owners manual.

I just turned it of when I observed that switch and don't think I ever will need it.
