I don't agree with that, the coolant reservoir is actually mounted to the wheel well on the passenger side. I think that's about half way up the engine compartment and far enough away from the firewall to eliminate it as a possibility. Not to mention if there was some serious noise making activity in an overflow bottle there would be very obvious symptoms easily seen. Good idea though.

Hi Brian,

Early on, I thought about this as a potential cause too. But I eliminated the heat riser when I recently had the right exhaust manifold off to be machined and then reinstalled. I was hoping that this could have been the problem but unfortunately it wasn't. thanks
