Just recovered my passenger seat with Willcox OEM style seat covers and foam.
Took about 3.5 hours, broke it down, cleaned and painted the frames and tracks, installed new foam (used zip ties instead of the wires through the foam, as was suggested here, great tip!) and then the covers went on much easier then I had expected.
Seat looks great...really makes the drivers seat look "bad."
Cannot wait to do the other seat-hopefully this weekend.
Great info by our members, Thanks to all for the helpful tips found here.
my wife wants new seats in mine, so I need to show her what can be done. I know there are a lot of threads out there, but it never hurts to see more pictures.
c'mon cut the guy some slack! not everyone can break away from work during office hours and i'm sure when he gets home at 10pm and has to wake up at 6am and start again... his priority isn't to try to wrestle with taking pictures of his car seats. not to be harsh, but i'm just sayin'.....

I just finished my one seat, (yes, Alan, I am STILL on the seats!) I used new foam, new leather-like seat covers, and they look great. I have been cleaning the bolts and hardware, then clearcoating the parts I had to wire wheel. I will take pics this weekend, I promise. I might even tackle the other seat, too. I never did any seats before, but I wanted to do all that I can on this car, and I am doing fine with recovering. BTW- a hot sunny day sure helps.
Here goes hope this works...tell me how you think they look.
Remember I have never attempted to cover a seat before.
I think it looks good so I just ordered a complete new carpet set and rear compartment doors. Can't wait to get them.
apds, what kind of paint did you use one the tracks and rails? Those seats look wonderful. Do you mind telling me about what it costs in all for everything needed to restore the seats?
