Default Engine found in a barn

OK I have this find and I hope that you can help me figure out what I have here.

Here is the block casting # 3970010

This is what is on the pad on the front passenger side 212334239
This is right beside the above number, K04 05 CGC.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Would this be a good foundation for a build?

I have a block with that same casting number in my garage that came from a 1974 L82.

Googled and found this: 78-79 350 2 Bolt Main for the numbers 3970010 under Chevy truck codes.

Nothing for the 212 numbers.

Under the K04...I did find this:

Default Here is the block casting # 3970010

According to my SBC Engine Block ID book:
350 c.i. used in a car, truck, or Corvette anywhere from 185 to 370 HP. Can be 2 or 4 bolt main.
Depending on how long it has been sitting and its use prior to storage, it could be a nice rebuild block or just a 300 lb hunk of iron. Check the outside of the casting for evidence of coolant leakage which could indicate a cracked block. If it passes the test tear it down to check the cylinder walls and have it inspected for cracks especially in the crank webbing if it is a 4 bolt.
I have a 350 4 bolt main from a 1974 pickup in my '23 Ford T Bucket with this same casting number.

Standard Chevy block from 1969 to 1980. From Mortec:
3970010....302.....69....4...Z-28 Camaro
3970010....327.....69....2...Trucks and industrial
3970010....350...69-80...2 or 4 bolt

VIN of the original vehicle.

This is right beside the above number, K04 05 CGC.
From http://www.nastyz28.com/chevy-engine-code-stampings.php
K0405 = Assembled April 5th in St Catherines, Ontario (K)
CGC is a 2 barrel, 245 HP, 350 ci engine installed with a Turbo 350 in an 1971 El Camino or with a manual tranny in a 1971 police car or taxi.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Would this be a good foundation for a build?
Assuming it has a 4 bolt main, I would reuse the block
