Default Question for chroming experts.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to re-chrome this license plate frame?
There are some light pitting. Will sandblasting ruin the lettering?

Well... I dont have it yet. Still bidding on eBay.

You don't want to "sand blast" anything that's going to get chrome plating. The resultant rough finish wouldn't do well for plating....

Many, but not all, plating shops could remove the old finish and then put a nice new plating on the item.

That frame is most likely pot metal and will be very difficult and expensive to replate properly. It is probably over $100 is my guess. Hard to find anyone that will do that type of metal but Advanced Plating in TN will do it for A PRICE. Very labor and time intensive.
