Default Looking at next project need advise 69 427

I am just finishing up my 69 vert and a freind came across a 69 427/390 coupe original owner (77years old ) has 67k miles all original, never wrecked but as you can see kind of rough. he is not sure of value, I of course want a deal, but need to be fair to this man. what kind of ball park offer, it runs, and drives, ?

I look forward to your response's

You need to know a lot more before you can consider the car for a specific price.

Birdcage?
Frame?
Suspension?
Brakes?

Everything original or a few things changed?

I'm sure you know the drill if you've been restoring one already, but those things play heavily in the pricing of a car like that.

Default update

Birdcage? Frame? Solid NW car no rust concerns on birdgage or frame

Suspension? usable but could use and will need rebuild
Brakes? they work, but like susp time for upgrades, car is in need of and will get a complete restoration. but a solid numbers matching start

15-20k or 30k?

Rough? Looks like a nice, unmolested 39 year old sweetheart to me. Offer $15 and dicker from there.

Looks like a great project starter.
The surface rust under the hood worries me, check out that frame good. But its probably just 39 years of 69k miles of wear and tear.
4spd?

Original paint? that paint looks pretty good to be 39 yrs old.

It looks like it's all there which is good. It needs a complete restoration which gets expensive unless you are able to perform alot of the work yourself and have the time and ability to do so. As long as it's not rusty and you are ready to dive in that offer of $15,000 is a nice starting point. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
