This '78 is not a pace car...not an aniversary edition...saw it sitting roadside this weekend...$4800...I know it's an automatic, but thats it...thought it could easily be made a pace car clone (since i know I'll never get my hands on a real one)
so what are '78's going for? What should I look for upon inspecting it? I'm pretty handy with wrenches so all that kinda work is really no problem.
Tell me all the good/bad and indifferent...THANKS!!!

Sounds like a good price as long as the birdcage has no rust or there is no major rust issues elsewhere.
Never say never on a Pace Car, I bought this L82 4sp 3 yrs ago for $2750 as you see it here.
GREAT pace car! they are my favorite all time corvettes!
now...by "birdcage"...i assume thats the general compartment that surrounds the passengers? where are obvious places to check for rust? anything special I need to know about the engines/suspension/etc?
I know all there is to know about the C4 and purchasing one, but C3's are a new animal for me. Thanks again!
AWESOME!! THATS the kinda info i am lookin for! Perfect...well...now its a matter of lookin at the car and seeing what else may lie beneath! THANKS AGAIN!
