I have been using the T-Top luggage rack brackets and straps this summer and it seems to be working out ok ....but ...
When ever I have to take the tops off ..( like to fill the gas tank) ,It must take me 10 min to undo the strap at the center buckle ....
I can cinch it tight but gettin it loose is a bear ....
I wonder if anyone else has this problem ? or maybe they have a better strap now ....[/IMG]
I dont have the luggage rack but my interior t-top buckle is the same way I used it for the first time last week and it was a bear to unlatch I guese for you thats better than not getting tight enough and the tops fall off
I've seen guys put a piece of dense foam rubber between the rack and the top and when they get ready to release the buckle they push down on the top compressing the foam and the strap becomes slightly loose and is easier to unlatch.
i thought that sometime ago (when i was kid), that there was a kit that you could get that would allow you to hinge the rack and tip it up without removing the straps? it had some quarter turn over center locking latches or something like that.
So wait, you just lay the panels on there and that strap holds them on? I thought there was a special luggage rack the panels snapped on to like the roof. I may have to try that, I hate having the panels in the cubbyhole rubbing together.
Lock -N-Load hey just checked mine your buckel is on correct. The Logo goes down hey I dont put my tops on that I just store them you want my little strap Ill trade you mine is black and mostly un-used I straped it to the buckel in the car and pulled it ,it its really tight. Ill trade ya . should we measure them . or are they all stock. the same length Mail me Back.

I am a n00b, don;t make fun.
No backstop, there is a couple of brackets that you have to attach to the luggage rack .... the tops slide into slots in the brackets and straps hold them on ( hopefully ) .....
Look at the yellow vette photo with out the tops on the rack ...
